Eva (Stevens) Mitchell born August 27, 1956 to Roy and
Gladys Stevens, passed away at River Oaks Health Campus on Sunday, April 5,
2015.
Eva worked at the GCARC workshop and was one of the
five original students who formed the first organization (which is now known as
GCARC) for handicapped children to receive education.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd
Mitchell and her parents.
Surviving is a step daughter, Vickie Harrison; one
sister, Alice Hammond and husband Joe with niece Joetta
Tucker, husband Chad, their two children Alyssa and Colten; a nephew Joey
Hammond with wife Tiffany; one brother, David Stevens and wife Debra with niece
Hollie Ambrose, husband Matt, their two children Callen and Cole; a nephew
Brian Stevens, wife Emily and their children, Corinne, Max, and Maci.
Visitation will be from 1-4 PM on Wednesday, April 8,
2015 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
Funeral Services will follow at 4 PM on Wednesday at
Colvin Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Paul Lynch and Vernon Deutsch.
Burial will be later at St. Lucas United Church of Christ Cemetery in Ft.
Branch.
