Barbara E. Kiesel, 81 passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Deaconess VNA Plus  Hospice Center in Evansville. 

She was born November 19, 1933 in Francisco, IN to Leonard Elwood and Mary Julia (Caniff) Helsley. 

Barbara previously worked at the former Princeton Telephone Co. and retired as a cook from Haub Steak House.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and V.F.W. Post #2714 Ladies Auxiliary.  Barbara enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clarence "Bud" Kiesel in 1985; 2 sons, Jeff and Tony Kiesel and an infant grandson, Nicholas Kiesel.

Barbara is survived by 1 daughter, Karen (Bill) Holt of Poseyville, 1 son, Kevin (Rita) Kiesel of Haubstadt; 2 daughters-in-law, Kathy Kiesel of Elberfeld and Terri Kiesel of Cynthiana.  9 grandchildren:  Michael and Emily Kiesel, Joe Kiesel, Kristy Byers, Andrea and Daniel Kiesel; Katy, Jennifer and Kyle Kiesel.  5 great-grandchildren. 1 sister, Sue Chesser of Plainfield, IN.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst and Fr. Sudhakar Bhastati as celebrants.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Friends may call Monday, April 20 from 3 to 8 PM at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service beginning at 2:30 PM.  Friends may also call Tuesday, April 21 from 10 to 11 AM at the church.
