Rev. Carl E. Farris, 88, of Princeton went to be with
his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home in Princeton.
He was born on October 25, 1926 in Louisville,
Kentucky.
He was a Methodist Minister for 34 years, serving in
the following churches; Blocher, Wesley Chapel and
Liberty, Dillsboro and Mt. Tabor, Seymour St. Andrews and Rockford, Otwell and Algiers, St. Marks in Princeton and Barbour Ave.
in Terre Haute. He was currently a member of Hillside United Methodist Church
in Princeton. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances (Harris) Farris of Princeton; 3
children, Mark (Jill) Farris of Princeton, Michael Farris of Princeton and
Carla Farris of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; 3 grandchildren, Stephen Farris and
Megan Farris of Princeton and Hannah Farris of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sons, Stevan
Farris in 1975 and Gregory Farris in 2009.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Hillside
United Methodist Church in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Jarmon Perkins. Burial
will be at the Otwell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Friday at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 9 am until service time on Saturday
at the church. Military services will be conducted by retired military
veterans.
