Bonnie P. Barrett, 85, of Evansville, passed away
Sunday, April 5, 2015, at Parkview Care Center.
She was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Mt. Olympus, to Glen
and Florence (Lewis) Vore.
She worked various places, the longest being at HA
Woods as a cashier. She also worked in the cafeteria at several schools
in the EVSC. Bonnie was a member of the Stringtown
Women’s Club. She enjoyed gardening, camping, sewing, and spending time
with her family. She also enjoyed cooking and often used her talent to
provide food for various events.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers,
Bud, Doc, Bruce, and Larry Vore; and sisters, Mona Vore and Peg Stroup.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald
Barrett; sons, Chris (Cheryl) Barrett and David (Jackie) Barrett; daughter, Amy
Barrett (Anthony Mortis); grandchildren, Jason (Sarah), Josh (Jennifer),
Zachary (Brooklyn), Christopher, Ryan (Ashley), Aaron (Kendyl),
Drew, Abrin (Jeremiah), and Lauren;
great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Evelyn, Hayden, Emerson, Kaylee, Riley, Madison,
Lucas, Isaac, Cameron, Ethan, Karter, and Khloe; sisters, Vi Byrns and Donna Kay Hallam; and brothers, Max and Harold Vore.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9,
2015, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by her son, Chris Barrett, with
burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends may visit Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. and Thursday
from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
The family would like to give special thanks to
caregivers, John and Julie, and also to Parkview Care Center and for their
special care and kindness.
