Ruth Deasel
Kidd, 68, of Princeton, formerly of Metropolis, Illinois, died Sunday, March
22, 2015 at her home
Funeral service will be
held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 5187 Old Marion
Rd. in Metropolis. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life
Ruth was a loving
wife and mother, a homemaker, Girl Scout leader and active in school
functions. In her life, she worked at several jobs, was a stay-at-home
mother and was co-owner of an oil and gas drilling and production company.
Survivors include
her husband of 50 years Francis Patrick Kidd; two children. Lora Anne Kidd
Powell and husband Edgar Powell of Thompson Station, Tennessee and Jamin Patrick Kidd of Princeton, Indiana; four
grandchildren, JaKaitlyn Anne Kidd, Avery Ruth
Powell, Levi Douglas Powell and Audrey Anne Powell; and two sisters,
Alberta Rogers Wallace and Mary Morris.
She was preceded
in death by her mother and father, Lora and Benjamin Deasel;
her sisters, Alvena Deasel
and Aline Deasel; and her brother, Herman Deasel.
She was loved by
many and will be greatly missed.
