Yvonne Lee Hurt, 85, passed away Thursday March 19, 2015 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville.

She was born September 29, 1929 in West Lake, Oregon daughter of Byron Lee and Carrie Ellen (Henderson) Hunter.

Yvonne was a homemaker, a member of the Princeton Church of God where she taught Sunday school for 18 years. She was known for writing poetry and ministering to anyone in need.

She is survived by children, Tom (Averi) Goodman West Salem, IL, Frank (Mary) Goodman Dangerfield, TX, Daniel (Bonnie) Goodman Salem, IL, Eugene (Jay) Hurt Washington, PA and David (Penny) Hurt of Evansville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Nadine Stokes, of OR; in-laws, Keith, Larry and Steve Hurt and Sandy Wilson; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank “Gene” Hurt in 2007 daughter, Ellen Gent.

Services will be on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Skip Farmer officiating. Burial will be in the Maumee Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
