Violet C. Burkhart, 101, of rural Hazleton, passed away Tuesday, Mar. 3, 2015 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.

She was born in Washington Township Gibson County, March 30, 1913 to A.I. and Ethel (Decker) Dunn.

She had lived in Washington Township all of her life and was a homemaker. 

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and preceded in death by her husband Raymond Burkhart, daughter Janice Rae White in 2010, and sister Joyce Turpin. 

Funeral services will be held at the graveside 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the Hazleton Community Cemetery. Burial will follow the services. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the services.
