Jackie K. Andrews, 65, of
Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March
20, 2015, at the VNA Charlier Hospice Center in
Evansville, Indiana.
Jackie was born to
Charles “Chad” and Helen (Bradham) Andrews on Friday,
Jan. 13, 1950 in Princeton.
She was a life-long
resident of Mount Carmel.
She graduated from
Mount Carmel High School in 1968 and then continued her education at Oakland
City University where she received a degree in business management. She worked
for the Daily Republican Register in Mt. Carmel as the office manager until her
passing.
Jackie was a
member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Princeton Master
Gardener’s Club, Mount Carmel Gardening for Health and Fun Club, the Wabash
Career Women Organization, and a charter member of the Homespun Quilter’s Club.
She was also an active member of the First Christian Church – Disciples of
Christ in Mt. Carmel.
Jackie enjoyed her
pet cats Bubba and Charlie, gardening and quilting and was an avid Cubs fan.
Surviving Jackie
are many cousins and friends. She was a wonderful and true friend to everyone
she knew.
Preceding her in
death were her parents.
Visitation will be
Saturday, March 28, 2015, from 9-11 a.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home,
527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, with funeral services following at 11:30
a.m. at Short Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
