Willard P. Stocker 71 of Princeton, IN entered rest on
Tuesday at his home.
He was born February 7, 1943 in Oakland City to Artho and Violet (Street) Stocker.
He graduated from Oakland City High School in 1961 and
Oakland City College with Majors in Biology and Chemistry. He was a former
sciences Teacher in Deputy and Petersburg High School, Ivy Tech and
Evansville University. Also, Willard graduated from Vincennes University
with Associate Degree in Business Administration and Mortuary Science Degree.
Willard had worked at Mead Johnson Bristol-Myers Squibb in Evansville from 1968
to 1999 as associate director of quality assurance. After graduating from Vincennes
University had worked for Lamb-Hedges Funeral Home, Corn Mortuary, Corn-Colvin
Funeral Home and returned to Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel as a licensed Funeral
Director. He served as a reserve Officer
for Oakland City Police Dept. and also Deputy Coroner in Gibson County. He
owned the Shooters Den in Oakland City and was a Federal firearms dealer and
Lifetime member of NRA. Willard was member of Oakland City F&AM Lodge #467
where he was Past Master, member of Oakland City Oakland City Eagles.
Surviving his wife of 48 years: Sharon (Nodecker) Stocker of Princeton, IN; Daughter: Elizabeth Svec (Russell Green) of Petersburg, IN; Son: John Stocker
of Oakland City, IN;
Brother: Wilbur Stocker of Terre Haute, IN; Grandchildren: Gabrielle Houchin (Andrew Wiseman), Alexandria Houchin,
Steffen Svec, Makayla, Lane and Zachary Stocker.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 7, 2015
at the Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Rev.
Alec Hensley will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Saturday. Masonic memorial services will be conducted Friday at 7:00 P.M. at the Chapel.
