Nancy Lucretia “Shug”
Pritchett, 90, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Gibson
General Hospital in Princeton.
She was born October 23, 1924 in Gibson County to the
late John Raleigh Sr. and Florence (Lyles) Hardiman.
She was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church
in Princeton and a foster grandparent through CAPE. She was the valedictorian
of her graduating class of 1942 at Lincoln High School in Princeton and then
worked at the Evansville Ship Yards during World War II. She retired in 1982
after working at the Sears store in Princeton for many years.
She is survived by her 5 children, Karen Morgan of Princeton, Robert Pritchett
of Grove City, Ohio, Richard Pritchett of Princeton, Beverly Pritchett of
Princeton and Sheila Pritchett of Indianapolis; her other daughter, Katie
Floyd; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2
sisters, Alberta Talbott of Vincennes and Edna Jones
of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Campbell “Happy” Pritchett on
January 13, 1970; her parents; a son, Barry Pritchett on March 6, 2006; also 3
brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Chris Neikirk
and Rev. Jarmon Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Sand Hill
Cemetery near Lyles Station.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday and
again from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday at the Colvin Funeral
Home.
