FORT COLLINS, Colo.——Veterinarian Thomas H. Howard
died unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 14, while working with a newborn Angus calf.
He was born in Princeton May 16, 1945, son of Thomas
H. and Margaret L. (Birmingham) Howard, and graduated from Princeton High
School.
He earned his degree in veterinary medicine from
Purdue University in 1969 and a PhD in 1981 from Colorado State University.
He was an internationally recognized expert in bovine
reproduction.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Susan Derbyshire,
of Fort Collins; his children, Ellen and Scott; a brother, Steve, and many
cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother,
David.
A memorial celebration is planned this spring.
