James “Jim” Michael Boner, 72, of Princeton, passed on to be with his Heavenly Father Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at the Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

Jim was born December 10, 1942 in Princeton to Alfred James and Anita Merle (Tolliver) Boner who have both preceded him in death.

On July 28, 1962, in Patoka, Indiana he married his wife of 52 ˝ years, Laveda Pearl (Belcher) Boner, who survives of Princeton.

Other survivors include; sons, Jimmy (Tracy Thorne) Boner II of Oakland City, and Matthew Edward Boner of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters, Lanita Beth (Jim) Morrow of Princeton, and Teresa Zoe (Albert Ford) of Indianapolis; and brother, Johnny (Patty) Boner of Sebring, Florida. Surviving also are his sisters, Sue (Jim Eaton) Whitehead of Owensville, Marsha (Brent) Barnes of  Indianapolis, Marie Blankenship of Lexington, Kentucky and Arnita Hawkins of Lakes Wales, Florida.

Survivors also include grandchildren; Kyle Morrow, Kendall Morrow, Olivia Morrow, Tiffany Jo Martin, Jennifer Martin, Justin Boner, Hunter Boner, Elaine (Adrian) Cooper, Erika Boner, Jaidelyn Boner and Zane Boner; great-grandchildren, Curtis Potts, Caidence Morrow, Jeffrey Michael Lee Marx, Eli Robbins, Kinsley Boner, Clintyn Boner, Keelan Hardiman, Jaedon Hardiman and Baby Girl Hardiman.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Zoella Boner Lofton.

Jim served in the National Guard for 6 years during the Vietnam era. He worked with Gibson County Co-op for many years and became friends with many of the farmers in the area. Some of the things that Jim enjoyed were being at the cabin, fishing, hunting and making friends. He always enjoyed “Wild Game Night” at Bethel and attended a few of the men’s conferences but his greatest joy came from his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He dearly loved them all.

Another of Jim’s pleasures was cooking and eating out. He loved fish, beans potatoes and cornbread. Jim was also a history buff.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. CST Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at Bethel Memorial Church located at 1520 S.  Main St. Princeton, IN 47670 with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Internment will take place in IOOF cemetery of Hazleton.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at Bethel Memorial Church and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m.
