Dianne Kaye McCarty of Aurora, Illinois passed away (21 Jan 2015) at 70 years of age and
entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father and Lord.
Dianne McCarty is survived by her loving family
including her sister, Marilyn Cullen; her brothers Charles McCarty (Kathryn)
and John William McCarty II (Terri); her nieces Jessica Cullen Emerson
(Quentin) and Caitlin McCarty Keller (Jeremy); her nephew John Michael McCarty,
her great-nieces EllaGrace Emerson and Ryann Olivia
Keller, and her devoted friend and caregiver Denise Pryor.
Dianne was born on August 13, 1944 in Princeton,
Indiana to John William and Kathryn McCarty, and she spent her childhood in
rural Ft. Branch, Indiana and attended school in Owensville, Indiana.
Dianne graduated from the University of Evansville and
completed a Masters of Arts in music from Northwestern University. Dianne
served as the music director and organist of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of
Aurora, Illinois for 32 years, in addition to her work at the Federal Reserve
Bank and Wheaton College. Her interest in Welsh and other Celtic cultures took
many forms as she learned to speak Welsh, enjoyed trips to Wales, and
participated in multiple Welsh societies, including the Welsh Women's Club of
America. Dianne remained a regular participant of various committees at her
alma mater, the University of Evansville, and she was recently elected to
lifetime membership on the Harlaxton Society Board of
Directors. Dianne McCarty lived a full life as she used her many gifts for the
benefit of others. Her musical talents and love for culture enriched the lives
of her family, friends, and coworkers. Her quick wit, strength, determination
and friendship will be missed.
Funeral Services will be held for Dianne at Emmanuel
Lutheran Church in Aurora at 11:00 am, Monday January 26, 2015, with visitation
from 6 to 8pm on Sunday January 25 at Dieterle
Memorial Home in Montgomery.
Burial will be at Dianne's home church, Blythe Chapel
United Methodist Church, Owensville, Indiana, at 12:00 noon, Wednesday January
28th, with visitation 2 hours prior at Blythe Chapel.
Holders Funeral Home in Owensville is handling local
arrangements.
