Donald Lee Kozar 81 of Oakland City, IN. entered rest on Tuesday January 27, 2015 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

He was born on November 8, 1933 in Maybeury, West Virginia.

Donald was preceded in death by parents a daughter Karen Denise Wentzel on Dec. 2, 2011 and his wife Georgetta “Cox” Kozar on December 16, 2013.

Donald served in the Air Force during Korea, and a member of Oakland City American Legion Post #256. Also he was a retired coal miner from Ayrshire Amax Coal Mine and member of U.M.W.A.

He is survived by daughters: Donna Kozar, Paula Carlisle, and Sheri Montgomery; 10 grandchildren: Macey and Liam Montgomery, Ryan Virden, Jacob and Kiana Wentzel, Stephanie and Nicholas Hardin, Donnie, Patrick and Cheyanna Carlisle, and great-grandchildren Cameryn and Zackary Carlisle; sisters: JoAnne Lansdell and Nancy Coleman both of Indianapolis, IN 

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday February 3, 2015 at the Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Montgomery Cemetery .Rev. Darin D. Nossett will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at the Chapel.
