Mary Helen (Carney) House, 80, passed away Sat. Jan. 24, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born in Posey County on Feb. 10, 1934 daughter of Lawrence and Nellie Mae (Overton) Carney.

Mary Helen was a graduate of Poseyville High School, a homemaker, a nurse's aid and worked in laundry at the Merimac Nursing Home in Cynthiana for several years. She was a member of the New Harmony American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her children, Jim Collison, Bob (Dana) House, Vickie (Howard) Price, Lisa (Steve) Compton; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Compton, Lindsey (Seth) Egli, Adam House, Ashli (Scott) Koressel; 1 great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Compton; brother, Bill Carney; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don; brothers, Ercil and Charles Carney.

Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Jeff Mobley officiating. Burial will be in the Poseyville Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
