Olive A. (Robb) Hale, 96, of Princeton, passed away on
Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit in Princeton,
IN.
She was born July 21, 1918 in Gibson County, IN to
Percy and Emma J (Hester) Goldman.
She was a member of the Patoka United Methodist
Church. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn (Bob) Downs of Princeton, James Robb
of Dale, and Kathy (John) Schmidt of Hebron, KY; daughter-in-law and caregiver,
Johnetta Robb; other daughters-in-law Donna Robb and
Dixie Robb; son-in-law, Alfred Leister; step children, Jack, John and Jerry
Hale; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; several great-great
grandchildren; and a brother, Bart Goldman of Poseyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Carl M. Robb in 1970;
2nd husband, Edward Hale in 2005; 6 children, Melvin, Rick and Carl “Buck”
Robb, Joan Whetstone, Phyllis Dillard and Sandra Leister; step-daughter, Jean
Kolb; daughter-in-law Betty Robb; 9 brothers and sisters; 2 grandsons, Michael
and James Whetstone; and a great grandson, Jason Whetstone.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Jeff Pinney
officiating. Burial will be in the Maumee Cemetery in Johnson, IN.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Thursday at
the Colvin Funeral Home.
