Arthur L. “Art” Richardson, 75, of Princeton passed
away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
He was born on July 1, 1939 in Sims, Illinois to James
Oscar and Zelda Pearl (White) Richardson, both deceased.
He was a graduate of Princeton High School in 1957 and
then served in the United States Navy on the USS FORRESTAL. He retired after 32
years from Whirlpool in Evansville. He then became a long time employee of the
Colvin Funeral Homes. He was a member of the Bethel Memorial Church in
Princeton. He was a member of the Prince Masonic Lodge #231 and the Gibson
General Hospital Auxiliary. Art enjoyed sports and the outdoors but above all,
he loved the Lord and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marsha (Mason) Richardson of Princeton;
5 children, Kim (Tom) Pinkston of Princeton, Mike (Julie) Richardson of
Nashville, TN, Steve (Leesa) Richardson of Newburgh,
Jill (Jeff) Gross of Hatfield, IN and Dean (Heather) Sermersheim
of Princeton; 5 grandchildren, Chelsea (Matt) Harper, Brent (Olivia) Pinkston,
Zane Richardson and Abbey and Mason Gross; 1 great grandson, Luke Pinkston;
brother, Ed Richardson (Debbie Wethington); 2
sisters, Sharon Carlisle of Princeton and Carolyn Horton of Bedford; his
mother-in-law, Maxine Mason of Princeton; several nieces and nephews; and a
multitude of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Burial
will be at the Decker Cemetery near Patoka.
Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. on Monday and
from 9 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the Colvin Funeral Home. Military
rites will be conducted by retired military veterans.
