Katherine L. Morton, 97, of Princeton, passed away on
Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.
She was born December 8, 1917 in Pike County, Indiana.
She retired as the executive director of housekeeping
at the former Wirth Hospital in Oakland City. She was a member of the Church of
God in Arthur, but had most recently been attending the First General Baptist
Church in Princeton.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Wallace of Princeton; 4 grandchildren,
Robin (Steve) Kinder, Dale (Terri) Sokeland, Sherri
(Dean) Adler and Joshua (Tally) Sokeland; 12 great
grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and John Kinman; her husband of 56 years, Lawrence Morton in 1995; a
son-in-law, Carl D. Wallace; also 8 brothers and sisters, Ray, Russell, Cecil, Aurbry and Nelson Kinman,
Elizabeth Tubb, Permelia
Duval and Erma Horn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. CST on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at
the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. CST on Friday
at the Colvin Funeral Home.
