William “Bill” Heaton, 73, of Princeton passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of a brain aneurysm.

He was born on March 16, 1941 in Beech Grove, IN to A. M. “Squeak” and Wilma Jean (Stalcup) Heaton.

He graduated from Switz City Central High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964.

He and Sara Hannum Heaton were married in Worthington, IN in 1962. Bill drove North Gibson School Bus #9 for 24 years. He retired from the Gibson County Co-op and was a 50 year member of the Elks. 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sara Heaton; mother Wilma Heaton; daughters: Holly (Scott) Patterson & April (Tom) Graper; sister Brenda (Swede) Hicks; sister-in-law Judy Bender; 4 grandchildren: Kyle (Kelli) Davis, Wyatt Davis, Paige Patterson & Gavin Graper. 

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Jerry W. “Squeak” Heaton. 

Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. John Heumann.

Visitation will be from 9 until 11:30 am at the funeral home.
