James Edward (Jim) Finney , 76, of Moore Haven, FL passed away December 7th, 2014.

He was born May 27th, 1938 in Princeton, IN to Thomas E and Helen C Finney.

Jim joined the Navy in January 1958 and served his country until January 1962 when he was honorably discharged.

Jim married Judith K Schmidt in 1958 and they have three daughters.

In 1967 Jim went to work for the US Army Corps of Engineers from which he retired as lock master. Jim and Judy relocated from Brookport, IL to Moore Haven, FL in 1985. 

Jim is survived by his daughters, Terri (Jim) Carrigan of Brookport, IL, Gail Finney of Lebanon, TN and Cara Finney of Moore Haven, FL; sister Judy (Randy) Lawson of Princeton, IN; brother Pat (Gayle) Finney of Haubstadt, IN; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Helen Finney, his wife Judy and brother Richard Finney. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St Joseph Cemetery in Princeton, IN.

There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home, Princeton is entrusted with arrangements. Retired Military Veterans will conduct military graveside services.
