Aaron L. Riggs, 69, passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2014
at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
He was born in Montgomery Township Gibson County, Nov.
11, 1945 son of Donald and Nora (Anderson) Riggs.
Aaron was a 1963 graduate of Owensville High School,
served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired
from Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, IN as a medical technologist. He
was a member of the NRA and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Schmidt) Riggs, son
and daughter-in-law Aaron (Buddy) and Sarah Riggs, daughters, Melody Carlisle,
Monica Tatum and Tara Riggs; Step-son, Keith (Lisa) Gwaltney;
grandchildren, Kaley Carlisle, Eric Tatum, Kristen Carlisle, Trey Slopsema Addison Tatum, Gavin and Tyler Evans;
step-grandchildren, Robert (Vi) Gwaltney, Ryan Gwaltney, Leah Gray; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Danny
(Vanessa) Riggs; sister, Jane (Carroll) Farrar; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister,
Geneva; brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Steven and Gary Riggs.
Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at 3:00
p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Bob Douglas officiating.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the retired military veterans.
Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service
time at the funeral home.
