Linus L. Koberstein, 72, of
Princeton passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway in
Evansville. He was born on March 29, 1942 in Haubstadt, IN to Emery &
Henrietta (Bultman) Koberstein.
He was a partner at Koberstein Trucking Inc., where
he retired in 1996 after working there for 36 years. He had lived in Princeton
since 1965 moving here from Ft. Branch. Linus was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Princeton, graduated from Haubstadt High School in 1960, was a 55
year member of Knights of St. John in Haubstadt and a member of Knights of
Columbus in Princeton for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife Loretta (Morris) Koberstein
of 51 years, 3 daughters Kelly (Robby) Vaught, Lisa (Keith) Wagner & Jill
(David) Kennard; 1 son Jeffrey (Teresa) Koberstein,
Sr. all of Princeton; 15 grandchildren Amber (Lance) Seaton, Pete (Jessica)
Williamson, Cody & Tara Williamson, Robby (Liz) Vaught, Brittany &
Haley Vaught, Kelsey & Brandi Wagner, Katie (Kyle) Carnahan, Sara McEllhiney, Jeffrey Jr., Jordon, Jacob & Joe Koberstein; 7 sisters Thelma Seib,
Sister Elizabeth Ann Koberstein, Virginia Wilzbacher, Lila Simon, Edith Baehl,
JoAnn Heyer, & Norma Purer; 3 brothers Emory,
Marion & Merle Koberstein; 9 great grandchildren
Landon, Elaine, Levi & Elliot Carnahan, Gavin & Kenley McEllhiney, Jay James, Wyatt Williamson & Lydia Seaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Alvin & Elmer Koberstein and a sister Alberta Elpers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, November 18, 2014
at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, with Father Ronald Zgunda celebrant. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Catholic
Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 pm Monday at Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton. There will be a Prayer Service conducted by the
Knights of St. John and a Rosary conducted by the Knights of Columbus at 2:30
pm on Monday; family & friends will be welcome at these services.
