Mary F. King, 82 passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at
Deaconess Hospital, Evansville.
She was born in Daviess County, IN on Sept. 28, 1932,
to James and Agnes (Martin) McRoberts.
She had lived in Princeton for the past 65 years. She was a member Hillside
United Methodist Church in Princeton. In her earlier years she was an avid
quilter. She enjoyed cooking, loved her family, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Waughneta King of
Princeton; 2 granddaughters, Jamie Slinker (Jason) of Patoka and Brooke Bane
(Eddie Young) of Princeton, 3 great-grandchildren; Riley Slinker, Lexi and
Quinn Bane, 2 brothers, Jack McRoberts of Odon and Burl McRoberts (Maudie) of
Montgomery, 2 sisters, Doris Inman of Bloomfield and Barbara Hasler (Derald) of
Odon, several, nieces, nephews, cousins and her 2 faithful canine companions
Sassy and Molly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.D. King in 2010,
brothers, Joe, Virgil, Roy and Barney McRoberts, 2 infant brothers, Robert and
Paul, 1 sister, Ada Mae Wallace.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at the Hillside
United Methodist Church in Princeton, with Rev. Chris Neikirk and Rev. Jarmon
Perkins officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery rural Hazleton.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Colvin Funeral Home and
from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
