Lowell R. Hayhurst, 80, of Haubstadt,
IN, formally of Fort Branch, IN, passed away at Gibson General Hospital in
Princeton, IN.
He was born to the late Raymond Hayhurst
and Edith (Hironamus) Reeves on July 12, 1934 in
Princeton, IN.
He attended the Bethel Memorial Church in
Princeton, IN, and was a lifetime member of the Princeton Elks. Lowell
owned and operated Hayhurst Carpet in Fort Branch, IN
with his wife of 59 years, Emily, who preceded him in death in 2013.
He also loved to camp and fish, and was an avid golfer.
Besides his wife and parents, Lowell is
also preceded in death by a sister Joyce Rice.
He is survived by his daughter and son
in-law, Lola and Terry Graham of Grayville, IL, a half-brother Jack Reeves of
Indianapolis, IN.
A graveside service will be conducted at
10:00 AM Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN,
Pastor Kevin Wilson will officiate.
Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 from 3:00 PM until
7:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch,
IN. The family would like to thank the Gibson General Hospital 5th floor staff and Southerncare
Hospice for their loving care and a special thanks to Stacey Kluthe.
