Jack, L. Garrett, 78, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11,
2014 at The Waters of Princeton. He was born July 8, 1936 in Gibson County, son
of Chauncey and Doshia (Crank) Garrett.
Jack graduated from Owensville High School in 1954,
served his country in the United States Army, worked at Potter and Brumfield,
Sterling Brewery, Emge Packing Company, Federal
Assembly and was a paper carrier for the Princeton Daily Clarion and Evansville
Courier and Press.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years Linda, daughter
and son-in-law, Lisa (Jay) Hill; five grandchildren, Sara and Ashley Martin,
Devon, Nicholas and Remington Hill; sister, Vada
Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marie
Cuzzort; brothers, Elvis, Bob and Desco
Garrett.
Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at 2
p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Bob Douglas officiating.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the retired military veterans.
Burial will be in Maumee Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service
time at the funeral home.
