Paul Edward Odom, 56, of Owensville, IN lost his 3 month battle with lung cancer at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday October 5, 2014.  

He was born to Helen Marie (Hoefling) Odom and the late Paul Andrew Odom.

Ed worked for the local Boilermakers 374 for 36 years before retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Knights of St. John of Haubstadt.

He would have been married to his beloved wife Kathy Jo (Holder) Odom for 33 years on October 10, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Paul Raz and Lillian (Logsdon) Odom, Grandparents Frances Edward and Helen (Weber) Hoefling, Father Paul Andrew Odom, Brother Padraic Odom, Sister Patience Diephuis, and Brother-in-law Jay Burger.

Ed is survived by his wife Kathy Jo (Holder) Odom, of Owensville,IN, Son Eddie Odom of Evansville, IN, 2 Daughters Megan Dyson of Fort Branch, IN, Jesse Jo Odom of Hazelton, IN, Mother Helen Marie Odom of Fort Branch, IN, Brother Patrick (Suzzie) Odom of Fort Branch, IN, In-laws Larry (Jean) Holder of Fort Branch, IN, Sister-in-law Jan Burger of Fort Branch, IN, grandchildren Kameron James Broshears, Jaxx Andrew Raney, and expecting twin grandchildren in November, 3 Nephews Bryce Burger, Jo Diephuis, and Ben Odom, and 3 Nieces Amy (Barrett) Pollock, Brooke (Burger) Johnson, and Lee Ann (Odom) Munro.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice especially Jennifer, Sandy, Janet, and Sara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN, with Father Tony Ernst and Father Sudhakar Bhastati as co-celebrants. 

There is will be no visitation prior to services.
