Lester E. Lyles, 65 of Vincennes, passed away
Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, Illinois.
He was born March 16, 1949 in Princeton to the late
Earl and Christine (Vick) Lyles.
He had lived in Vincennes for the past 15 years,
originally living in Princeton. He was retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad
where he worked for over 25 years.
Lester is survived by his fiancée, Cheryl Tauber of
Vincennes; 7 children, Neil (Mickie) Lyles of
Vincennes, Uraina Lyles (Chris Mohammed) of
Vincennes, Desmond Anderson of Louisville, Kentucky, Keisha Lyles of Princeton,
Eric Hacker of Washington, Indiana, Brandt Walls of Bloomington, Indiana and
Deanna Anderson of Vincennes; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2
sisters, Carolyn Taylor of Princeton and Alice A. Johnson (George) of Hampton,
Virginia; a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wayne Lyles; a sister, Leatha E. Ballard and a grandson, Raheim
Bright.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. CDT Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow at the Sand Hill Cemetery
near Lyles Station.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. CDT
Tuesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
