Mabel (Creek) Coddou, 91,
passed away peacefully with Hun and her niece Carla Nix at her side on
Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at West River Health Campus in Evansville.
She was born in Gibson County on Nov. 16, 1922,
daughter of Herbie and Elsie (Williams) Creek.
She was a graduate of Owensville High School class of
1940. She had been employed by the Navy Dept. in Washington D.C. as a secretary
and retired from GTE, Inc. in Florida after 25 years. Her greatest joy was her
love for music and the piano.
Mabel is survived by Hun Ty whom her and her husband
Bill had raised, also nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
Bill; son, Steven Carlton; brothers, Marvin, Gene and Melvin Creek; sister,
Margaret Creek.
Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at
1:00 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Donnie Mobley officiating.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service
time at the funeral home.
