Wandalee Tisdale, 94, of
Princeton, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Signature Healthcare in
Newburgh, IN. She was born July 20, 1920 in Pike County, IN to Samuel and
Bessie (Copeland) Barrett. Wandalee worked for the
North Gibson School Corp. in the high school lunch room for about 3 years. She
attended the Tower Heights Church of God in Princeton. She was a lifetime
member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW #1147 since 2004 where she served as
Chaplin for 2 terms; lifetime member of D.A.V. since 1989; and a member of the
Paralyzed Vet organization since 1994.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Ray (Tonja) Tisdale
of Newburgh; daughter Glenda Fay (Dick) Ferrner of
Florida; brother Darvin Barrett; 3 grandchildren;
Chris, Stephanie and Immanuel and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Thomas Tisdale in
1998; sister Estell Ashby
and 3 brothers Marvin, Wilmer and Roy Barrett.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Jim Tisdale officiating. Burial will be
in the New Liberty Cemetery in Coe, IN. Visitation will be from 12 noon until
service time on Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
