Martha L. (Hall) Overton, 62, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

She was born in Evansville on November 5, 1951 the daughter of David and Inez (Hall) Smith.

Martha was a wonderful and caring woman. Anyone she ever knew will be greatly saddened by her passing. She was a very soft spoken lady who always listened to anyone without exception.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Joe Overton; children, Michele (Jackie) Hicks, Mike (Sherry) Huebner, Angie Gatewood; step-son, Eric Overton (Dawn); 8 grandchildren, Corey and Shelby Hicks, Tara and Ashley Gatewood, Devon Wright, Tyler, TiaJaycole and Braelyn Huebner, 2 great-grandchildren, Kynlee Jo Donnell and Jesse James Miller; brother, Jimmy Roberts; sister, Debbie (Dave) Rewerts.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Susie Swisher; step-daughter, Kasey Overton.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 20 at 12:00 noon at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Jerry Daniels officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
