Marjorie C. Montgomery, 83 of Princeton, passed away
on Friday, September 12, 2014.
She was born on October 25, 1930 in Tampa, Florida
to the late Benjamin and Ruth (Thompson) Adams. Marjorie was a homemaker and
had lived in Gibson County since 1949, coming from Florida.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna (Rex) Wright of Rockford, Illinois and
Joyce Humphreys of Princeton; a son, Tony (Becky) Montgomery of Oakland City; a
daughter-in-law, Linda “Kaye” Montgomery of Oakland City; 10 grandchildren; 14
great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Barbara Dyess and
Margaret Harrs both of Palatka, Florida and 3
brothers, James Adams of St. Augustine, Florida and Donald and Michael Adams
both of Palatka, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stancil
E. Montgomery in 1977; a son, Roy A. Montgomery on March 14, 2014; 2 sisters
and 1 brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Ron Carpenter officiating.
Burial will follow at Hight Chapel Cemetery in
Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at
the Colvin Funeral Home.
