Vincent A. Baehl, 76, of
Fort Myers, FL, formally of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Wednesday, Sept.
10, 2014 at The Springs in Fort Myers, FL.
He was born on March. 9, 1938 in Gibson County, IN
to the late Leroy and Cecilia (Schaefer) Baehl.
Vince was a member of the St. Columbkille
Catholic Church Ft. Myers, Fl. He had worked at Scotty’s Lawn and Garden and
retired from Whirlpool Corporation, Evansville, IN in 1993 but volunteered at
the hospital and church in Fort Myers, FL.
He dated and married the love of his life after high
school, Shirley (Ice) Baehl who was called home on
Sept. 13, 2011.
Vince is survived by four children Kent(Doris) Baehl of Ft. Branch, IN; Steven Baehl
of Katy, TX; Michele(Thomas) Schmitt of Poseyville,
IN; Alicia(Scott) Taylor of Evansville, IN. Also surviving are thirteen
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His brothers Robert and
Daniel of Evansville and Clem of Haubstadt survive him as well as sisters Diane Tuley of Evansville
and Sister Leah Baehl of Peru, SA. Vince is also
survived by his close companion Pam Van Nest of Fort Myers, FL as well as many
friends.
Along with his beloved wife and parents, he is
preceded in death by his siblings Sister Mary Baehl,
Norma Lee Goedde and Stephen Baehl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on
Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ft.
Branch, IN. Fathers Tony Ernst and Sudahkar Bhastati will be co-celebrants. Burial will follow in the
church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2011 from
3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral
Home in Ft. Branch,IN, and
again from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church on Monday. A Rosary will
be recited on Sunday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
