Aretta
F. Wright, 80, of Wilmington, Illinois and formerly of Owensville, passed away
peacefully Friday afternoon Aug. 8, 2014 at her home in Wilmington.
Born Feb. 20, 1934 in Montgomery Township, Gibson
County, Aretta was a
daughter of the late Arthur Bryan and Gracie Mae (McClellan) Peach.
She was raised and educated in the Owensville area,
and on May 7, 1950, Aretta married Clifford E.
Wright.
She was a member of Wilmington Church of the
Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school for many years and served on the
church board. Aretta enjoyed painting and took great
pleasure in vegetable and especially flower gardening.
Survivors include her children: Wayne (Cathy) Wright
of Gardner, Illinois Dianna (Alan) Taylor of Mansfield, Ohio, Susan Kimmons of Wilmington, Illinios,
Cynthia (Ted) Yakima of Manteno, Illinois and Sandra Nowman
of Channahon, Illinois; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers
and sister: Daniel Peach and Laretta Bush, both of
Owensville, Raymond Peach of Johnson and Winifred Peach of Veedersburg.
Aretta
was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Roger and Darrell Wright, daughter
Rosetta Wright; son-in-law Rick Kimmons, and
brothers: Jefferson, Earl and Wencil Lee Peach.
Services will be held on Saturday August 16, 2014 at
10 a.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Bart Newton officiating.
Burial will be in the Maumee Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at
the funeral home.
