Dara “Sam” Fine, 49 of Hazleton was found deceased (See below: Drowned in the White River) Aug. 20, 2014.

She was born June 9, 1965 in Oakland City to Donnie and Rena (Robb) Phillips. 

Sam had been working for Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She had lived in Hazleton for many years. She loved being a mother and grandmother, enjoyed working puzzles and taking her family hiking. She loved animals and took in many strays and nursed them back to health. 

She is survived by daughter, Yvonne Miles of Vincennes; 2 sons, Kyle Douglas of Hazleton and Charles Douglas of Evansville; step-father, Jack Ingle of Hazleton; 5 brothers, Jimmy Wheeler of Petersburg, Timmy Ingle of Iva, Jay Ingle of Vincennes, Willie Ingle of Hazleton and Josh Ingle of Princeton; 2 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Christopher “Bud” Ingle. 

There will be no visitation or services. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with arrangements.

UPDATE: Chief Deputy Coroner Joe Millspaugh said the female body found in the White River was Dara Fine's.

The preliminary results of the autopsy reveal accidental drowning.

UPDATE: Sgt. Bruce Vanoven, of Gibson County Sheriff's Office, said the Knox County Coroner has taken possession of the body and an autopsy is scheduled for 1 p.m. today.

 HAZLETON–A caucasian female body has been found in the White River in Hazleton. 

The body was found by the White River-Hazleton Volunteer Fire Department Wednesday at 7 a.m.

Gibson County Sheriff George Ballard said the body has been taken to the Knox County Coroner's office.
