Robert DeBoard, 93, of
Princeton, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014.
He was born January 4, 1921 in Princeton to Charles
E. and Delia DeBoard, who preceded him in death.
He was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene
in Princeton and also the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of
the U. S. Army, serving in World War II. He devoted his life to caring for Lois
and Bobby and then also the last 10 years of his wife Helen’s life. He retired
from Patton Heating and Air Conditioning of Evansville.
He is survived by a daughter, Judy (Charles) Miller
of Princeton; a son, Robert “Bobby” DeBoard Jr. of
Huntingburg; three grandchildren, Luke Henn, Jason Henn and Susan Larson; six great grandchildren; a brother,
Claude (Artith) DeBoard of
Indianapolis.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lois
Jean; and his wife of 70 years, Helen L. (Robling) DeBoard in 2013. They were married in 1943 in St. Louis,
Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday,
August 7, 2014 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery east of
Princeton.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home. Military rites will be provided by Retired
Military Veterans.
