Larry Lynn Robling Sr. 65,
passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in
Evansville.
He was born in Princeton Nov. 23, 1948 to Byron and
Wilma (Bateman) Robling.
He was a retired Coal Miner last working for Kendall No.1 Mine. He was
currently serving as President of the Retired Miners U.M.W.A. Local 5179,
proudly representing his union brothers and sisters of the U.M.W.A. He had
previously held several other offices in the organization. He graduated from
P.H.S. in 1966. He coached Little League Baseball at Francisco for 20 years and
he had also served as President of the league. He was a Democrat Precinct
Committeeman.
Larry is survived by his wife Myra (Young) Robling
whom he married on Dec. 16, 1966; his father Byron Robling
of Princeton; 3 sons, Larry Lynn Robling Jr. of
Princeton, Lanny (Kena) Robling
of Ireland; Matthew (April) Robling of Princeton; 15
grandchildren, Kyler, Kourtney, Kalyn, Klayton, MacKenzie, Myilee, Madeleine,
Garrett, Tyson, Aliyah, Ella, Ethan, Emma, Hannah and Alevia,
5 great grandchildren, Kamron, Kaigan, Jaxya, Kale and Raydin; and 2
brothers, Charles and (Nila) Robling
of Hazleton and David (Brenda) Robling of Beach
Grove, IN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Robling
and a brother Jeffrey Robling.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Fairview
Presbyterian Church rural Princeton, with Rev. Jerry Wibert
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, and from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday
at the church.
