Ronald Lee "Ron" Myrick, 81 of Princeton
passed away Friday July 25, 2014 at his home in Princeton.
He was born in Evansville June 29, 1933 to George F.
and Clara E. (Norton) Myrick.
He had lived in Princeton for the past 25 years
moving from Evansville.
Ron retired in 1996 from Hurst Manufacturing where he was a tool and die maker.
He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a
member of the former Living Waters Church in Princeton. He was member of the
V.F.W. and American Legion, serving on the Military Funeral Detail for many
years. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge.
Ron is survived by his daughters, Judy Siebrecht of
Thermopolis, WY; Ronna White and Starletta
Myrick of Lansing, MI; and Jeanie Powell of Evansville; his companion, Beverly
Woods of Princeton; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents George F. Myrick and Clara E. Myrick
Schafer and his wife Dorothy Myrick in 2003, son David Myrick in 2007 and a
sister Doris Jean Logan.
There will be a gathering for a celebration of life at the American Legion Post
25, 501 W. Broadway, Princeton, IN, from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday Aug. 1, 2014.
There will be a private burial of his cremated remains at a later date at the
Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville, with military graveside services
by the Retired Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
