Geneva Marie Murrell age 88, of Oakland City IN, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at her residence. 

She was born February 21, 1926 in Parksville, KY to Jesse & Viola (Lister) Webb, both of which have preceded. 

On January 30, 1943, in Covington, KY, she was married to Henry Murrell before moving to this area in 1961. 

She worked as the cook at the former Johnson’s Restaurant in Oakland City, IN before serving as the cook at the Oakland City Bowling Alley for approximately 15 years.

She is survived by sons; Gary Murrell of Ventura CA, Barry (Paula) Murrell of Chrisney, IN, Dane Murrell of PA and James (Mary) Murrell of Huntingburg, IN.  Also surviving are daughters; Joyce (Mark) Blessinger of Newburgh, IN and Jeanie (Bruce) Hensley of Oakland City, IN, brother; Marshal Webb of TN and sister; Mary Elizabeth Jones of Covington, KY.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Henry and son; Larry David Murrell, brothers James and Bobby Webb and sister, Irene.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel located at 226 E. Washington St. Oakland City, IN 47660 with Rev. Darin Nossett officiating.  Internment will take place next to her husband in Montgomery Cemetery of Oakland City, IN.
