Ruby I. Fulling, 94 of
Mackey passed away Thursday July 3, 2014 at the River Oaks Health Campus in
Princeton.
She was born Oct. 3, 1919 in Warrick County near
Lynnville to Dennis and Sara (Gee) Daub.
Ruby was a homemaker raising four children. She lived in Mackey most of her
life was a member of St. John’s Church of Buckskin. She loved to quilt and was
known as the “Chocolate Lady” at River Oaks always having a Hershey’s Kiss
chocolate drop.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Sharon (Charles) Strickland, Ruth Ann (Gary) Sokeland both of Oakland City; 2 sons, Robert (Linda) Fulling and Steven Fulling both
of Oakland City; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, several nieces and
nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband Woodrow Fulling
in 1990 and 6 brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday July 8, 2014 at the St. John’s Church
of Buckskin with Rev. Jason Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the church
cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the
Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City and from 9 a.m. until service time
Tuesday at the church.
