Kenneth A. (“Kenny”) Dillon of Owensville went to
his Eternal Rest on July 10th.
He was born October 24th, 1933, in Poseyville, Indiana, to Dewey and Amy Waters.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and
Amy; brother, Charles Wayne; nephew, Kevin Dillon; uncle, Alfred Waters; and
his grandparents, Lewis Waters and Belva (Waters)
White.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy, his daughter,
Karen (Jim) Richardson of Owensville; son Wayne (Amy)Dillon of Clarksville,
Tennessee; brother George, of Poseyville; brother Jim
of San Diego, California; granddaughter, Kimberly (Ryan) Robertson of
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; grandsons, Caleb, Connor, Cooper, and Cameron
Robertson; and niece Amy (Dillon) Stephens of Poseyville.
Kenny was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War,
serving aboard the USS Stembel and the USS Badoeng Strait during numerous
combat operations. He was also a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 1147 and American Legion Post 51, where he was very active in the color
guard and funeral details.
He attended Maumee General Baptist Church, and retired from Whirlpool
Corporation.
Graveside services will be held at 10 am on
Saturday, July 12th, at the Owensville Cemetery, with Pastor Kevin Miley
officiating. Full military rites will be provided by Retired Military Veterans.
