Bertha L. “Skeet” Cooper, 87 of Buckskin, passed
away Sunday, July 27, 2014.
She was born January 15, 1927 in Buckskin to the
late Lula S. (Munnier) and Chris H. Buck.
She was a member of St. John’s Church of Buckskin.
She retired from Kent Plastics in Evansville.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lorel
Cooper of Buckskin; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Matt Baker of English,
Indiana; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Terri Cooper of Somerville,
Indiana; 6 grandchildren, Adam Cooper, Amy (Cooper) Loftus, Amber (Baker) Jaress, Matthew Baker, Nathanael Baker and Anna Baker; 5
great grandchildren, Jack and Dylan Loftus, Karisma
and Lila Cooper and Kendell Jaress; 1 brother, Louis
Buck of Buckskin; also 3 sisters, Jessie Memmer of Buckskin, Shirley Higginson
of Haubstadt and Pat Thompson of Evansville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gertrude Kolterman.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014 at St. John’s
Church of Buckskin, with Rev. Jason Ford officiating. Burial will follow at St.
John’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at
Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City and again from 9 a.m. until the
service hour on Saturday at the church.
