Roy L. Almon, 56, passed
away Thursday, July 24, 2014 surrounded by his family and friends at Gateway
Hospital.
He was born in Evansville on November 21, 1957 the
son of Jack and Sue (Garrett) Almon.
Roy was a graduate of Gibson Southern High School
class of 1975. He was a lifelong farmer and owner of a trucking company. Roy
will always be remembered as a devoted husband, son and friend who will be
sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife, Angie (Bell) Almon, parents, brother, Phil (Jaymie)
Almon, sister, Wendi (Gary) Pegram,
nieces and nephews, Ryan, Tyler and Lauren Almon,
Chelsi and Shelbi Pegram; mother-in-law, Barb Bell
and his beloved dog Finn.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Marion, Violet and Eleanor Garrett, Robert E. and Nancy Almon;
father-in-law, Jerry Bell.
Services will be on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10:00
a.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with the Rev. Ken Nelson
officiating. Burial will be in the Maumee Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 27, from 3-7
p.m. at the funeral home.
