Vera June (Clark) Williams, 85, of Princeton,
Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the River Oaks Health Campus
in Princeton.
She was born June 12, 1928 in Mt. Carmel, IL to
Lloyd and Mabel (Evers) Clark.
Vera’s faith and her family were the most important
things in her life. She loved spending time and reminiscing about the days with
her grandchildren growing up. She attended Hillside United Methodist Church.
She retired from Gibson County Abstract and Title in 1993, where she has worked
for 28 years.
Vera was an avid bowler, where the “might of a gal,
who threw a hard, right-handed ball” once set a record 266 in the Navy Wives
Bowling League in Key West, FL.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John
Williams of Princeton; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kathy Williams of
Princeton; granddaughters, Mackenzie (Eric) Oakes and Courtney Williams (Logan Bultemeier) all of Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 8
brothers, Ishmael, Calvin, William, Robert, Lloyd Jr, Jack, Clarence and
Gilbert; and 3 sisters, Sirgie Isabelle, Ada Pearl
and Amanda.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday,
June 13, 2014 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev.
Jarmon Perkins. Burial will follow in Columbia White Church Cemetery in
Princeton. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until service time on Friday at the
Colvin Funeral Home.
