Death has lost its
sting as Howard G. Huff, 78, of Fort Branch, IN, went home to be with his Lord
and Savior.
Howard passed away at
his home on Monday, June 2, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
He was born to the
late Edgar S. and Edith P. (Wright) Huff on May 31, 1936 in Orange County, IN.
Howard was
retired from the Emge Meat Packing Co. as a truck
driver. He also owned and operated the Huff Electric Co. in Fort Branch.
He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, and
was a member of the Haubstadt Knights of Columbus. Howard served in the
U.S. Air Force, stationed in Morocco.
He is survived by
his wife, Barbara L. (Voelker) Huff of Fort Branch,
IN, 4 children, Jeffrey A. (Connie) Huff of Haubstadt, IN, Janet L. (Randall) Tenbarge of Haubstadt, IN, Jerry W. (Jane Calthrop) Huff of Durham N.C. and Julie A. (Greg) Woodman
of Evansville, IN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren Emily, Bryce,
Abbie, Chris, Carrie, Courtney, Christa, Jacob, Caitlyn, Blake, Andrew, and 5
great grandchildren.
A Mass of
Christian burial will be conducted on Friday June 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM at
the St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN with Father Kenneth Betz the
celebrant. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN.
Visitation will be on
Thursday June 5, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at
the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West
in Fort Branch, IN.
