Evelyn Jeanette (Hassell) Conklin, 75, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Jeanette was born in Posey County on Sept. 1, 1938 the daughter of James Herbert and Fern Louise (Lewis) Hassell.

She was a graduate of Poseyville High School a homemaker and a member of South Gibson Apostolic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Donald; three children, Roger (Rebecca), Kevin (Carrie) Conklin and Tammy (Kevin) Ramsey; 9 grandchildren, Shannon (Eric) Bodrie, Josh (Jenny), Kaleb Conklin, Tabetha (Michael) Wahl, Tim (Emilynne), Jordan, Jasmine, Elizabeth and Nathan Ramsey, Dakota (Blake) Lewis; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Doris Fetzer, Betty and Edith Farrar, Carolyn Rice and Brenda Guinn; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, James Richard Hassell.

A worship services will be held on Friday June 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the South Gibson Apostolic Church with Joe Sizemore and Greg Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the Maumee Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 19, at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville from 4-8 p.m.
