R.“Lois” (Smith) Anderson, 77, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the VNA Charlier Hospice center in Evansville.

She was born June 15, 1937 in Owensville the daughter of W. Frank and Beulah (Anderson) Smith.

Lois was a graduate of Owensville High School class of 1955, received her teaching degree from Oakland City University and her Masters from USI. She taught at Owensville Community School and was a member of the Owensville General Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 176.

She is survived by a daughter, Vicki (Allen) Harmon; 7 grandchildren, Philip (Carrie) Harmon, Carrie (John) Miller, Beth (Brian) Cocker, Patrick and Kevin Harmon, Alyse (Nicanor) Oliva and Andrew Jablonski; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Lori Jablonski; siblings, Heber, Dick, and Norma Smith, Vivian Wright and Mary Ann Young.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. William Ping officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
