Jack J. Montgomery, 81, of Princeton, Indiana passed
away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
He was born January 7, 1933 in Gibson County.
He was a retired UMWA coal miner from District 12
Local 1791 and worked at both King's mine in Princeton, Indiana and later at
Amax mine in Kingsburg, Illinois. After retirement he enjoyed camping and
spending time with his family.
Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years Wilma (Veach) Montgomery, Daughters Peggie
Wood of Princeton, Indiana, Vickie (Dan) Reneer of Roxburn, North Carolina, and Son Johnnie (Beth) Montgomery
of Belmont, Illinois, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and brother Homer
(Georgia) Veach of Bloomingdale, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by father George W.
Montgomery, sons Larry Montgomery and Donnie Montgomery, son-in-law Robert
Wood, 4 sisters Catherine Montgomery, Claire Defreeze, Ruth and Francis
Goldman, 3 brothers Charles, Roy, and Bill Montgomery.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
as per his wishes as his body will be cremated.
