Wayne “Tom” Deal, 73, of Owensville, passed away
peacefully with his family by his side at his residence Friday, May 2,
2014. He was born to Ollie and Geraldine “Wright” Deal, who precede him
in death, on May 5, 1940 in Mount Carmel, Illinois.
He attended the Mackey Nazarene Church, and was
retired from the Gibson County Highway Garage after 15 years of service, He
also worked with his father at the Deal Sawmill and farmed with his father as
well. Wayne was a member of the Prince Masonic Lodge in Princeton, IN, and the
Evansville Scottish Rite,
He is survived by his wife of 51 years of marriage, Gwenda “Caskey” Deal of
Owensville, three daughters, Lisa (Michael) Wagner of Evansville, Pamela
(Dennis) Grubb of Owensville, and Tomi (Glen) Ramsey
of Fort Branch. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Jordan and Jayci Ramsey, Joshua and Taylor Wagner, and Bayli and Auberi Grubb, two step
grandchildren, Andy (Becky) Wagner, and Krissa (Josh)
Stevens, and two step great grandchildren.
Services for Wayne will be on Wed, May 7, 2014 at 10
a.m. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy.
168 West in Fort Branch, IN, Dr. John Sloan officiating, burial will be in
Clark Cemetery in Owensville.
Visitation will be on Tuesday evening at the funeral
home, May 6, 2014 from 4-8 p.m.
