Robert J. Banyai, 78, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville.

He was born on March 16, 1936 in Hungary.

He came to the United States in the 1950’s and had lived in Princeton since 1994.

He is survived by his five children, Robert J Banyai Jr. and Stephanie Banyai-Jordan both of Connecticut; Jennifer Whitten and Steve Banyai both of Princeton; and Sylvia Myrstol of Montana; two step children Patrick Wolfe of Germany and Patricia Gorton of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements were handled by Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
