Nancy Jane (Laib) Sells,
73, of Wadesville peacefully passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Deaconess
Hospice Care Center in Evansville.
She was born Sept. 6, 1940 in Ft. Branch, to Joseph
and Mildred (Westfall) Laib, who precede her in
death.
She grew up with her beloved brother, the late Max Laib.
Nancy graduated from Ft. Branch High School and then
studied at Gradwohl School of Lab and X-Ray, where
she met the love of her life Ronald Sells. They were married Aug. 1, 1959 and
worked together as lab technicians at several hospitals and clinics throughout
the years. Nancy loved being a mother and raising her two children, Tonya and
Joe. In 1987, Nancy and Ron moved to Wadesville to live close to her family,
where she became a homemaker and first-time grandmother. Nancy enjoyed shopping
for clothes and jewelry, collecting and decorating her home with beautiful
antiques and getting together with lifelong friends. Most of all, Nancy loved
talking to her children on the phone every day and spending time with her three
grandsons. Her husband and family were so important to her, and she made sure
they knew they were loved.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronald
Sells; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya (Darrell) Paddock; son, Joseph Sells;
granddaughter, Natalie (Roddy) Blaylock; and three great grandsons, Easton and
twins, Asa and Owen Blaylock all of Wadesville; sister-in-law, Charlene Laib of Evansville; nephew, Terry (Kelly) Laib; two nieces, Karla (Mike) Wingo
and Natoma (Mike) Chestnut; aunt, Irene Westfall; and
three cousins, Letitia Eagle, Janice Gibson and Cindy Hauschild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her
brother, Max Laib.
